Covering the Basics to Make Every Program a Success
Please send us any information such as industry magazines, company history, recent newsletters or product brochures that will increase Roxanne’s understanding of your organization, its products, people and challenges. If available, please send us a copy of the schedule for this event. We appreciate your help; please contact us if you have any questions.
Set Up For
Roxanne needs to be on a slightly elevated platform/stage in order for everyone in your group to be able to see her (12 to 18 inches is fine. Being elevated makes it much easier for everyone to see and enjoy her entire program.
Roxanne would like easy access to two chairs or stools to bring on stage. One placed on both sides of the stage. The podium should be far enough to the side of the stage that it does not distract ( i.e. blocking the view of the audience). If readily available, a “cocktail” height table for her materials (and room temperature water), placed just off to the right side is appreciated.
As Roxanne tends to have a lot of energy on stage and prefers a headset microphone; however, a wireless lavaliere microphone is also effective. It is important for her to be able to move around freely so she can interact personally with your group.
Roxanne uses Power Point presentations and occasionally other visual aids. Please remove any equipment and/or screens from the staging area that might impair the audience’s view.
Elsewhere on this website are downloadable introductions of varying lengths for you to use when introducing Roxanne to your audience. Please use this to introduce Roxanne to your group.
Audience Seating Configuration
The most important element is that everyone has clear line-of-site to the stage. It is preferred if people can move their chairs because on occasion we will incorporate an activity that requires movement. If there is any specific limitations you have, or requirements Roxanne is happy to discuss the best alternatives for the audience.
Roxanne will often use PowerPoint in her presentation. If you have a large group, either a low table in front of the stage where a laptop can be plugged in, or a table to the side where the laptop can be plugged in, but with a monitor at floor level in the centre of the stage. For smaller groups, a cocktail-height table in the front-side of the stage will be fine. Roxanne prefers to use her own laptop and remote control.
Sound for Video
Roxanne incorporates unique video into many of her talk as a result will need to have a sound system that would accommodate the room and audience size.
